The Clash: photo exhibition in Camden

Posted by jamie on Nov 30, 2010

Adrian Boot’s London Calling: The Clash exhibit will be at Proud Galleries in Camden from 9th December.

Here’s what Proud had to say about it:

This unique exhibition is a photographic portrait of the most influential punk rock band, credited with pioneering the advocacy of radical politics in rock, and includes never before seen images. Photographed rehearsing at their studio in the Gin House at the Stables Market in Camden which was also the site of the original Proud Galleries in Camden, this exhibition marks a true homecoming for Boot’s extraordinary images of this cult band.

Max Tannone: new Talib Kweli remixes

Posted by jamie on Nov 24, 2010

Remix machine Max Tannone has added Talib Kweli vocals to some dub tracks.

“It features hip-hop artist Talib Kweli rapping against a backdrop of dubbed out reggae beats. I had the opportunity to meet Talib after Dub Kweli came out, and he told me he really liked it. That was very gratifying to hear, as positive words from the original artist are the ultimate compliment you can receive.”

Check it out here.  Again, it’s available for download.

If you don’t know Zulu, he is the MC for the Drastics as well as several other projects in the electronic music scene. This man has one of the most original sounds out there .

Sonic Boom Six have posted a new remix of Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! by Jimmy T Boom, under his alter-ego Midas.  Barney drops a whole new verse.  It’s sick*, man.  UK and European tickets are also running low, we’re warned.  Don’t say I never did a warn ya.

Name your price, and then get the song here.  It’s the best right-click you’ll do today.

*In a hip-hop sense, rather than a disgusting one.
