Lovably cheeky acoustic-ska ragammuffins Gecko are going to grace the Secret Garden Party this year. They’ll be playing the wonderfully named “Where the Wild Things Are” stage on the Saturday.

Jello Biafra joins Rebellion festival
Posted by jamie on May 3, 2011
Jello Biafra has joined as another headline act for the Rebellion festival. Rebellion told us this:
His work since [the Dead Kennedys] is equally important and just as relevant. SUNDAY night in the OLYMPIA will see JELLO BIAFRA & THE GUANTANAMO SCHOOL OF MEDICINE hit the stage. If you’re unfamiliar with the band, check them out here.
Then they told us this:
TICKET PRICES
Our tickets were due to rise on 1st May, however due to the bank holidays we’re extending this to MAY 3rd. This is your last chance to buy tickets at the discounted price of £100. This gets you admission for all 4 days, to all stages. From May 3rd onwards the price will be £120, so well worth getting your tickets now if you know your [sic] definitely coming!
RUMBLE DOWN SOUTH 2011
Posted by jamie on May 3, 2011
We’ve been waiting on this for a while. Now that their website’s up and the line-up is confirmed, we can officially show you the Rumble Down South Festival 2011.
You can see the full line-up here, but highlights (in our point of view) include Lower Than Atlantis, Doctor 8Ball (fka Too Late Lucy), Funeral for a Friend and the Sonic Boom Six. I also love Jett Black.
I’ve heard rumours (rumours, people), that we’ll also see the King Blues, but can’t confirm that for you yet.

Reading bashers..
Posted by jamie on Apr 26, 2011
Reading Festival are getting abuse on facebook. They’re making a big announcement next week, and a few try-hards have taken the opportunity to disparage the quality of the line-up in general, and My Chemical Romance in particular. If you ask me, they’ve put on plenty worse bands than MCR, but noone’s asked me anyway. Ah well.
See it here.
